Tingo boosts fintech presence in Nigerian League

 

 

 

 

After making a success of its presence in agribusiness, Tingo Pay, a Nigerian tech company, has made an ambitious move into the Nigerian football league space with the newly introduced pre-season tournament, Dozy Mmobuosi Super Cup.

The pre-season tournament is offering N100million as prize money which is the biggest prize money ever in domestic football.

 

Nigeria’s most successful quartet of Enyimba, Rangers, Bendel Insurance and Shooting Stars are competing in the tournament which kicked off, on Tuesday.

In addition, the quartet received N10million each as appearance fees.

Launched in March this year, Tingo Pay is an all-in-one financial solution application aimed at addressing challenges for small and medium scale business and in extension all bank customers with smart phones.

 

The brand is determined to dominate the fintech market in Nigeria.

Tingo Pay is offering a “Predict & Win” trivia with matches of Dozy Mmobuosi Super Cup.

 

 

It can be used to pay for Cable.TV, Airtime and Utility Bills.

The arrival of Tingo Pay has increased the number of fintech brands in Nigerian football.
