Zadok Yohanna… smiling as he prepares to break Sweden’s transfer record
Sweden’s top flight league, the Allsvenskan, will set to have a new transfer record following the valuation of Nigerian sensation, Zadok Yohanna, by foreign suitors from England and Germany.
The youngster, who switched to Sweden’s AIK Fotboll last June has exploded in Sweden with Premier League duo of Brighton Hove Albion and Newcastle making serious enquiries.
Writing about the development, influential Swedish publication, Expressen, stated:
“Considering the size of the bids, Yohanna currently looks like it will be the most expensive sale in the history of Allsvenskan.”
Expressen revealed that “Brighton & Hove Albion FC from the Premier League prepared a monster bid of €22-23 million for the Nigerian”, approximately SEK 239-250 million.
Shortly after Expressen’s revelation, AIK confirmed on their website that the club is negotiating a transfer for Yohanna.
Newcastle United
Expressen also stated that Premier League rival, Newcastle United, has also presented a big bid for Yohanna. The offer is worth €24 million in fixed transfer fee, which is equivalent to SEK 260 million, plus additional bonuses on top of that.
France
sportbusinessbrand.com learnt that Ligue 1 side, Rennes, is also monitoring the situation.
