Newly promoted Nigeria Premier League side, Barau FC, has added the experienced duo of Alhaji Kabiru Baita and former Nigerian striker, Dominic Iorfa, in strategic positions as it seeks to strengthen the club’s leadership in the top flight.
Baita, a former Chairman of Kano Pillars is now Vice-President, while Iorfa, immediate past Chairman of Lobi Stars becomes General Manager.
The duo will work with Shawall Barau Jibrin, who is President of the club.
“Dominic Iorfa brings a wealth of expertise from decades in the Nigerian football scene. His track record in strategic leadership, talent development, and elite performance management makes him an ideal fit to steer our sporting ambitions,” said Shawall Barau Jibrin.
Baita will supervise governance, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning. His extensive experience and credibility in Nigerian football will help solidify the club’s foundation for long-term success.

Based in Kano, the club gained promotion from the second tier, Nigeria National League, at the conclusion of the 2024/25 season.
