Leading African brand, Kaizer Chiefs and their globally renowned technical sponsor, Kappa, have unveiled home and away kits for the 2025/26 football season that are African inspired to continue their forward momentum, according to a press release by the club, signed by Corporate Communications Manager, Alpheus Vina Maphosa.
Now in its third year, the partnership between Amakhosi and the Italian sportswear brand will present another striking set of strips for Amakhosi to wear on the field of play.
Both brands have combined to produce stunning new offerings that merge football with culture, as both home and away tops represent a bold celebration of the game beyond the pitch. The designs are rooted in African art, creativity and are the heartbeat of the community. The jerseys will be worn with pride by all generations of Kaizer Chiefs supporters for different occasions.
“It promises to be a great season ahead with the Club celebrating our 55th anniversary by winning a major trophy and qualifying for CAF competition, which were some of the goals we had set for ourselves when the year started,” says Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director, Jessica Motaung.’
Chiefs won the defunct African Cup Winners Cup, in 2001 and will play in the 2025/26 CAF Confederations Cup after the Nedbank Cup victory earlier in the year.

South Africa’s most popular club Kaizer Chiefs returned to winning ways on Saturday, ending a 10-year trophy drought with success in South Africa’s cup competition, upsetting archrivals Orlando Pirates with a 2-1 triumph in the final at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium.
“With this in mind, we returned to our roots with the home jersey, staying true to the colours we are known for.
“The away jersey always allows us to play around a bit and we are proud of the camouflage-like design that represents the shields and the garments worn by Africans during traditional events. It’s symbol of fashion, art and creativity that will be worn by hardcore football fans as well as general fashion enthusiasts.
“The process of designing and selecting the kits for the team during our first two seasons with Kappa have been wonderfully creative and the response from supporters has emphatically confirmed that. We expect an even better response this year.
“As we say, the jersey doesn’t just play, it represents. We have come up with jerseys that the players will find comfortable to play in while looking resplendent when they take to the field this season.
“With the new jerseys, tracksuits, polo shirts, t-shirts, bags and caps, Amakhosi supporters are guaranteed to draw envious glances from opposition fans for their style and panache,” she added.
Home Jersey:
The home jersey is bright and unapologetically Kaizer Chiefs – with a primarily gold body, in keeping with the hue of the Glamour Boys’ traditional colours, adorned with striking black patterns on the sleeves.
This classic design also includes a stylish black collar with contemporary designs that reflect the culture of Amakhosi.
Away Jersey
On the other hand, the away jersey promises to be a huge hit, following in the footsteps of its popular predecessors -the green & gold from the 2023/24 season, and the black & gold of last season.
This year’s away kit introduces a striking grey & gold design incorporating subtle camouflage patterns that will excite both supporters and fashion lovers alike. It is inspired by the textures of the animal skins used to create traditional shields of African warriors. While undoubtedly fashionable, it also epitomises Amakhosi’s battle-readiness for the upcoming domestic and continental season.
Environment Friendly
Both jerseys are made from recyclable material, underlying a commitment to preservation of the environment.
Theme: The jersey doesn’t just play, it represents
“The new kits we have designed as Kappa and Kaizer Chiefs give us cause for great optimism ahead of the new campaign,” says Ricky Joseph, Director at Kappa South Africa. “With the theme for this season being ‘The jersey doesn’t just play, it represents’, we look forward to seeing the supporters filling the stands, home and away, proudly displaying their brand new 2025/26 Kaizer Chiefs kit and merchandise for all the world to admire.”
Availability
The merchandise will be available for purchase from Kaizer Chiefs Retail at the Village in Naturena, Kappa retail stores around the country, online at www.kcdigistore.com and other leading sporting retailers from Monday, 21 July 2025.
