Former Prosperity Cup champions, EGM, Krusaders in epic semifinal tie

 

Expect more fireworks as former Prosperity Cup champions, Eternal Grace Ministry FC and Krusaders FC, clash in their semifinal tie in the Bayelsa State Governor’s Cup.

Tournament favourites, Eternal Grace Ministry, fondly called EGM were 2022 champions, while Krusaders claimed the top prize a year later, in 2023.

Fate now brings both sides together for a winner-takes-all semi-final clash at the Samson Siasia Stadium, on Thursday, to decide who has the bragging rights.

The duo as well as Bayelsa United Feeders and Advanced Dreams return for match day business on Thursday, as they continue the race for the top title.

EGM defeated Bayelsa United Feeders in the Yenagoa Local Government finals and appear tournament favourites.

In the second semifinal, Bayelsa United Feeders will play Advance Dreams, who bagged their place following the disqualification of Youbolobo for fielding an unregistered player.
