President Tinubu meets CAF President, Motsepe, approves hosting of Ordinary General Assembly and CAF Awards

Nigeria’s President, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubuhas approved the hosting the VAF Ordinary General Assembly and Awards after a meeting with the Confederation of Africa Football President, Patrice Motsepe, at the Africa Forward Summit, in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.

Others at the meeting included Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Mrs Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, President of Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON), Special Adviser to the CAF President, Amaju Melvin Pinnick (OFR) and CAF Acting General Secretary, Samson Adamu.

The 48^th CAF Ordinary General Assembly, which brings together leading figures in African football, including presidents of CAF’s 54 Member Associations, representatives from the six zonal unions and senior football officials from across the continent, will take place in October this year.

The CAF Awards is an annual showpiece event that celebrates the best performers in African football in an atmosphere of glitz, glamour and sheer panache.
