Remo Stars contract extension is big motivation – Ogunmodede

Remo Stars Head Coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, has described the extension of his contract by the club as “big motivation.”

The club signed a new three-year deal that will keep him at the club till the end of the 2026/27 season, via a Tweet on its X Account, on Tuesday.

According to the tweet: “We are glad to announce that Daniel Ogunmodede has signed an extension to remain as the Head Coach of the club until 2027.”

Responding via his x Account, @CoachDan_Ijabal, he said: “This is my club, my project.. working relentlessly hard with a consistent behavioural pattern. The good thing is I am happy the club is able to see what I have done so far and to have counted me worthy to have an extension.”

Ogunmodede, who brought the club from Nigeria National League to the topflight, has led to the club to back-to-back runners up position in the Nigeria Premier Football League and qualification for the CAF Champions League.

 

Both parties have been together for years before Ogunmodede was appointed Head Coach in the NNL as he set up the club’s youth system.

Ogunmodede set up the structure at the youth team now Beyond Limits before his elevation to Remo Stars.

Before joining Remo Stars, he worked at Crown FC, where he served under the likes of Lawrence Akpokona as well as Ganiyu Salami an served briefly as caretaker coach.
