Leading wealth advisory firm, Afrinvest, has made a significant investment in Nigeria’s football industry with the sponsorship of one of Nigeria’s historic clubs, Enugu Rangers, which is the club’s first front-of-shirt shirt deal in 10 years.
Rangers’ last deal was with alcoholic brand, Harp, in 2013.
The Afrinvest sponsorship represents a move away from alcoholic brands as Rangers equally had a shirt deal with Gulder, a brand from the Nigerian Breweries stable 20 years ago.
Rangers kicked off the new sponsorship in style with a 2-1 over Doma United on the opening day of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League season and Afrinvest used its Official X (former Twitter) handle to celebrate the victory.
sportbusinessbrand.com learnt details of the deal will be unveiled by both parties, in Enugu, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
The Enugu side will continue the season on Sunday with a road trip at Remo Stars.
