Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari received a measure of the LaLiga brand experience when he met with Club Deportivo Leganes and Nigerian defender, Kenneth Omeruo, during his visit to Spain ahead of the Nigeria-Spain Business Forum.
Omeruo, who is one of the top foreign stars in the LaLiga presented a signed home and away jersey of CD Leganes to President Buhari.
In addition, the Super Eagles defender presented the Official LaLiga Match Ball to him and the duo posed for photographs.
The centre-back presented the jersey to the President in company of Sports Minister, Sunday Dare, former Super Eagles forward, Daniel Amokachi and other top government officials.
Special assistant to President Buhari on Digital and New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi, posted pictures of the event on social media.
Omeruo, who represented Nigeria at the 2019 and 2021 African Cup of Nations is one of the few players to achieve the rare record of 100 games in the La Liga.
