Celebrity Brand Ambassador and former Super Eagles captain, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, was the cynosure of all eyes at Ijaiye-Ojokoro, a Lagos suburb, on Sunday.
It was a surprise for the community as the former Nigerian star came unannounced to shoot an advert/documentary
and featured in an exhibition match.
Football crazy fans, young and old came out in their numbers to catch a glimpse of the football legend.
Okocha played in a five-aside exhibition match with youngsters in the neighbourhood and also engaged another set in drill “to hit the upright.”
It’s an experience the kids will cherish for a long time to come.

Clearly the most recognisable football icon in the country for his football artistry and role as multiple brand ambassador, Augustine Okocha, fondly called “Jay Jay” Okocha, is a former captain of Nigeria’s Super Eagles and regarded as one of the greatest football players from Africa.
Okocha played for Rangers International (Enugu), Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany), Fenerbahce (Turkey), Paris St-Germain (France), Bolton Wanderers (England), Qatar SC (Qatar) and Hull City (England), respectively, during his active career.
An African Cup of Nations and Olympic winner, in 1994 and 1996, Okocha featured in three World Cup finals: 1994 (USA), France (1998) & Korea Japan (2002), respectively.
