Agent12

sportbusinessbrands.com can reveal that supporters of AIK, through a strategic supporter-driven initiative, Agent12, raised funds for the acquisition of Nigerian talent, Zadok Yohanna, in 2025.

Yohanna enters the record books as the first player to be acquired via Agent12 for the club and is already attracting attention across Europe with his form.

Agent12 is a supporter-driven fundraising initiative, where funds raised are earmarked for new acquisitions for AIK Football.

The scheme targets up-and-coming talents aged 18 years old, who can directly or in the long term develop properly at the club and sold to bigger clubs to generate revenue from sales.

Apart from the club, support for Agent12 also comes from Allmänna Supporterklubben (an independent supporter association of AIK), Testa Stör (a Swedish podcast program about AIK Football, produced by Christopher Kviborg, Christoffer Svanemar and August Spångberg) and Vi är sööd.

With success of the scheme and the incredible performance of Yohanna, who looks good to set a record transfer considering the interest from Premier League duo of Brighton Hove Albion and Newcastle, plans are already in motion to begin a anew contributory scheme in 2026 for a replacement.

How it works

AIK Football receives a share of the funds raised with the condition that the surplus is used in full to recruit young talented players who are no older than 18 years of age.

The purpose of Agent12 is to give AIK supporters – in addition to purchasing tickets and souvenirs, etc. – an opportunity to contribute to AIK Football’s operations in a more direct and transparent way.

Agent12 is convinced that player sales are one of the most important factors in a strong economy. A central part of this is the purchase of young talents who are further developed in the club and, in the long term, can be sold on at a profit. Agent12’s overall purpose is therefore to contribute to strengthening AIK Football’s finances in the long term.

Since there are no guarantees that young talents will develop into first-team players with high sales value, patience and a long-term perspective are required. Therefore, it is important to emphasize that Agent12 is an initiative with a long-term goal to improve AIK Football’s finances.

Strategic plan to sustain Agent 12

Whenever AIK Fotboll sells “Agent12 players” with a surplus, there is an agreement that AIK Fotboll and Agent12 shall initiate a dialogue with the aim of returning a certain part of the surplus to the “Agent12 account”.

Interrsting, despite the work of Agent12 to raise funds, there is an undertaking that AIK Fotboll shall not reduce its own budget for new acquisitions of young talents solely because Agent12 is collecting funds.
