Finance meets football…. Afrinvest team celebrating Rangers’ ninth historic title at their Ikoyi Head Office

Afrinvest West Africa, a capital market holding company active in six principal areas: investment banking, securities trading, asset management, trustee services, consultancy, and technology, has been a proud partner of Rangers since the 2023/24 season following a three-year deal that came to an end with the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
The initial deal in 2023 made Afrinvest the club’s first front-of-shirt sponsor in 10 years.

Interestingly, Rangers have been impressive with two titles in three years of the initial Afrinvest sponsorship.

When asked about the renewal, Group Managing Director of Afrinvest, Dr. Ike Chioke said: “Yes. I am expecting a renewal. We have created value for Rangers. Definitely, I am interested in renewing, but the issue of how much it will cost will depend how we discuss with Rangers.”
Chioke expressed satisfaction that the present value of the Rangers brand has expanded its commercial opportunities with more suitors seeking for a share of team’s jersey real estate.
“One thing is clear; our presence has already attracted value for Rangers. In no time, others have come. Nortra Tractors and Equipment is on the sleeve and they have a couple of other non-jersey sponsors.
“A major hotel chain called me and said we would like to be a sponsor, so long as Afrinvest is going back”, he said to sportbusinessbrand.com.
The renewal also marks a major milestone for both brands, becoming the longest-running jersey sponsorship in the club’s history.
Beyond match kits, Afrinvest is devoted to brand activation and fan engagement to endear more fans to the club.
The sponsorship strengthens Afrinvest’s commitment to the development of the Rangers brand.
